The economic committee will have its first discussion on the parliament's draft report on the AIFM directive. ECR spokesman on economic and monetary affairs Kay Swinburne and ECR shadow rapporteur Syed Kamall will argue that the parliament's rapporteur has not gone far enough in making the directive more workable and less damaging to pension funds, small businesses and other sectors of the European economy that rely on these funds.
