Annual fisheries summit

Fisheries ministers will meet in Brussels on Monday to set the annual limits on fisheries catches for 2010. Once again, fishermen will be bracing themselves for swingeing cuts to quotas. ECR fisheries coordinator Marek Grobarczyk will argue for fundamental reform of the Common Fisheries Policy sooner rather than later so that decisions can be made locally rather than by bureaucrats in Brussels.
