Cloning

Following news that the offspring of cloned animals had entered the food chain from a farm in Scotland, ECR MEP for Scotland Struan Stevenson criticised the "worrying lack of safeguards" in the EU.

The European Commission will be asked to give a clear statement on its policy towards cloned animals and their offspring. This will be followed by a debate in which ECR MEP Janusz Wojciechowski will speak.
