Commission vote

The ECR group will meet on Tuesday lunchtime to decide its final position on the confirmation of the college of commissioners, following the outstanding hearing in the parliament last week. Its voting intention will be announced first on Twitter - @ecrgroup

ECR President Michal Kaminski will say that the level of competence displayed by individual commissioners was wide-ranging during the hearings, making the 'take it or leave it' procedure for confirming them lamentable. The group will say that, however it decides to vote, it is unable to register the same degree of confidence in the commission that it was able to note in respect of its president, who was re-elected thanks to ECR votes.
