Disasters in Madeira, France and Spain

ECR regional development coordinator Oldrich Vlasak will assist with the preparation of a European Parliament resolution following the natural disasters in Madeira, France and Spain from the past two weeks.

The European Parliament wants to express sympathy for fellow citizens suffering from these disasters. It also urges the commission to be of help to the Member States regarding the release of financial support from the EU Solidarity Fund and also the revision of the Cohesion Policy programmes that would better serve the needs of reconstruction in the affected areas.
