The parliament will hold a debate on the FTA agreement with South Korea. The agreement is expected to create new trade in industrial and agricultural goods and services. Despite the possible benefits, the initialled document is also raising questions about its impact on various sectors of the EU economy. ECR international trade coordinator Robert Sturdy and ECR Vice-President Jan Zahradil will ask the commission whether it has carried out an impact assessment of duty drawback, in particular in the car industry sector, and what are the principles and mechanisms to protect EU investors.
