Human trafficking

The parliament's women's rights and civil liberties committees will jointly hold an initial vote on their position on a proposal to crackdown on human trafficking.

ECR women's committee spokesman Marina Yannakoudakis MEP has been active in attempting to shape the proposal so that it focuses more on preventing trafficking, rather than setting out rigid EU-wide rules on criminal sanctions and victim care.
