The ECR group will be seeking to send a strong message to High Representative Ashton and the Council of Ministers that urgent action, including stronger economic sanctions, is needed to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions. ECR foreign affairs coordinator Charles Tannock will also focus on the ongoing human rights abuses in Iran, during a debate in the parliament.
