Maternity leave

The parliament's women's committee will vote on proposals to increase maternity leave to a minimum of 18 weeks on full pay, which had been shelved before the European elections.

ECR women's coordinator Marina Yannakoudakis will argue that it should not be for Brussels to set one-size-fits-all maternity policy, which could reduce the employment prospects of young women.
