The parliament is likely to back proposals to create a micro-finance instrument which is aimed at helping people who have lost their jobs to set up their own businesses. The ECR supports the entrepreneurial principle behind the fund but group employment coordinator Milan Cabrnoch will support national governments, who want the €100 million to be taken from the Progress programme rather than created through a new budget line.
