Mises Circle - Two Concepts of Liberty

Mises Circle - Two Concepts of Liberty

3rd December 2009

ECR MEP Nirj Deva in cooperation with the Brussels-based Mises Youth Club, set up the Mises circle  as a small, informal monthly get-together for Members, Assistants and Commission officials to discuss politics and economics from a free market Austrian School perspective.

Each meeting sees a major classical liberal work discussed, and the one  chosen for the next meeting is Sir Isaiah Berlin's lecture and essay "Two Concepts of Liberty", which will be introduced by Ms. Kristina Loguinova, the Vice-President of the Mises Youth Club. You do not need to have read this work, or have any knowledge of it, for the meeting.

The essay is online available from the New York University Projects website.

This next meeting of the Mises Circle will be held on Wednesday 9 December 2009 in room A4F.384 between 5:30pm and 6:30pm.

Welcome note

Welcome to the website of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group in the European Parliament.

In July 2009, the ECR was formed by eight political parties who share the common goals of opposition to Euro-federalism and of fundamental reform of the European Union to make it more accountable, transparent and responsive to the needs of the people.

This website is intended to provide you with information about our work and our political priorities, and to provide you with an opportunity to let us know your views.
