Private company statute

The Competitiveness Council is expected to reach agreement on a European Private Company (SPE), which formed a key part of the EU's 'Small Business Act'. The regulation creates a new form of European private company which would make it easier for small businesses to set up across the EU without having to deal with complex and diverse national legal frameworks. ECR chairman of the internal market committee, Malcolm Harbour, will welcome the SPE.
