The commission is expected to outline the first implementing measures of the Terrorist Finance Tracking Programme (the so-called Swift agreement) which MEPs approved before the summer.
ECR justice and home affairs spokesman Timothy Kirkhope MEP has been one of the parliament's most vociferous supporters of the agreement and he will call on the commission to ensure speedy introduction of the accord, particularly following reports of a potential new terror wave.
