United with Lajos Bokros and MDF: ECR Bureau Visit to Budapest

Budapest, 3rd March 2010

The delegation was led by the President of the ECR Group, Michał Kamiński, who underlined Lajos Bokros' key role in the Conservative Group and his vast knowledge and expertise in the field of economics. The leader of the Euroconservatives also noted that the plan presented by Mr Bokros is the best formula for Hungary to overcome the financial crisis.

"As friends of the Hungarian nation, we have come here to emphasise the important role that the MDF party plays in Europe's conservative family.

"We wish Hungarians success and we truly believe that Mr Bokros and the MDF party will be able to help Hungary and Hungarians achieve it," stated Kamiński.

In addition to Michał Kamiński, other members of the ECR delegation included: Professor Ryszard Legutko, Adam Bielan, Tomasz Poręba, Jan Zahradil, Peter Van Dalen, Martin Callanan and Geoffrey Van Orden.
