The ECR will call for a united, stable and democratic Yemen during Tuesday's debate. A resolution on the situation will be adopted by the parliament in February. ECR security and defence coordinator Geoffrey Van Orden will be calling for concrete action to be taken to ensure that the government's authority does not continue to be eroded, leaving Yemen vulnerable to attacks by al-Qaeda, and destabilising the region."
